Dear Colleague in Rock Art
Perhaps you will have noticed
by now that my RG-account does no longer exist. Therefore, first of all I
apologise for any inconvenience that the deletion of my RG-account may cause to
you: 1) my RG-account is no longer accessible (I cannot upload, delete or
change anything anymore) - 2) many hyperlinks in my studies previously
downloaded no long work (this only concerns hyperlinks to ResearchGate) - 3) rock art researchers are no longer able to access my publications, including all publications that have nothing to do with the deletion-reason; the purported "defamation" of two academics.
This new webpage (RG) you are reading now, was created by me to explain this situation. Prof. Beth Scaffidi (together with Prof. Tiffiny Tung) more or less "forced" ResearchGate to delete my account at ResearchGate, which RG - biased - did. However by doing this Scaffidi and Tung not only disadvantaged me and damaged me as a truthful scientist, they also disadvantaged many other rock art researchers interested in my work (75.000 views at my RG-account as per September 2024!), who no longer can download my publications at ResearchGate. This also involves many papers and books that have NOTHING to do with my comments regarding the intentional falsification of two illustrations published by Prof. Beth Scaffidi and Prof. Tiffiny Tung in 2020.
Although ResearchGate claimed that my publications would remain accessible on my (now blocked) ResearchGate account, but that is definitely not true. The only thing some-one interested can do in the RG-webpages, is to "request a copy from the author". Moreover, several internet searches will only yield: "this page no longer exists".
Why did Scaffidi and Tung take so much trouble to have my ResearchGate account being closed? Because in their 2020-paper Scaffidi and Tung published intentionally falsified illustrations (and false conclusions), which I correctly commented on (see Van Hoek 2024). Exposing their false information in a number of other publications and simultaneously correctly criticising other publications by Tung and Scaffidi, apparently was - after many months of having no problem at all with my comments - all of a sudden a problem (more detailed information about this situation read: URL1 – URL2 – URL3). Mind you, I only commented on issues concerning (related to) rock art matters. Yet, in this web page I hope to be able to offer you a solution to the problem of downloading my studies.
Please find below and at the top a link to my DropBox site containing a large number of PDFs of my publications (not chronologically but geographically arranged) that can all be downloaded for free. Also new publications by me will also be added to my DropBox site. The text and illustrations are fine, but some of the URLs in the PDFs may no longer be functional as explained above. If some-one needs a publication that does not appear in the long list below, please ask me to upload the relevant PDF onto DropBox (if available, of course).
On this webpage there is a WORD.doc (see the hyperlink above) that you can download. The WORD.doc contains a list of all the PDFs that are available at my DropBox site (October 2024). The publications are all numbered and the number corresponds with the number of the PDF-file in my DropBox Folder. Unfortunately, the PDFs in DropBox are not arranged as in the WORD.doc). In order to find the PDF you need in the list, please use the search-function of the WORD.doc. For instance type: carcancha, or beringa. You can also consult the complete bibliography of my publications that can be found at the following webpage. Mind you, several (older) publications are not available as PDF, because I have no digital copy.
I hope this webpage will be useful to anyone interested in rock art.
Thank you for your attention
